Dog Psychology & Behaviour Evening Classes
Where: Basildon Upper Academy, Wickford Avenue, Pitsea, Basildon, Essex, SS13 3HL.
When: Every Wednesday Evening – 7pm to 9pm
Beginning: 19th April 2017 over 5 weeks
Learn about the fascinating subject of Dog Psychology and Behaviour on our 5 week program of evening classes. Learn why dogs ‘do what they do’. Help build a better understanding, and a better relationship with your own dog. Has your dog got a problem that you cannot seem to find an answer for? Then this course will certainly give you something to think about. As it says at the top of the page, we rehabilitate dogs and we train people. This is not an evening class where you bring your dog along to teach it tricks and commands. This is for the dog enthusiast who wants to get inside a dogs mind, and really understand what a dog needs to maintain a balanced life, and not suffer the psychological issues that can be so disturbing.
Aggression towards people or other dogs is a symptom of a psychological problem that the dog has developed, but can be understood and helped, if we really know what is the root cause. This fundamental course will help you start to look at a dogs behaviour in a different way, and of course, you can then have a better chance of using the appropriate strategy to help the dog improve.
Many dog enthusiasts have attended my ‘weekend introductory courses’, where this very information has been taught, and with the added benefit of bringing their own dogs along for demonstrations in the art of ‘Dog Behaviour Management’. (Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs to the evening classes, but there is a link to the weekend courses at the bottom of the page, should you wish to be accompanied by your dog).
Here are some of the topics that will be covered at our course…
This is a fundamental course with a lot of content. Beginning with exactly what a dog is, what it REALLY needs, and right through to the rewarding job of working as a dog behaviourist. This is the theory you will require before moving on to the practical workshops that I offer. (Of course, these are optional).
Your teacher, Amanda, is a full time dog behaviourist and instructor. She started as one of my customers with a dog problem, but after working through my syllabus, and having lots experience with dog problems, she is now very busy helping her own clients. Here at The UK Dog Whisperer, we believe in ‘keeping it real’. No untested theory, no hype, no political arguments, just honest professional help for dogs and their owners.
Amanda Hill (above) will be your teacher
for both the evening classes and the weekend courses.
So, if you are ‘mad about dogs’, own a dog with a few ‘funny ways’, or are thinking about a career within the dog industry, we are sure there is something in these evening classes for you.
